- Longtime Wilmette resident John "Jack" P. Kissane, 92, died Aug. 27 at his home in Littleton, Colo.
Mr. Kissane was born June 22, 1914, in Chicago.
Survivors include three sons, Brian (Marion) of Chicago, John (Cherry) of San Francisco, Calif., and Mark (Janice) of Sydney, Australia; two daughters, Christine (Paul) Wells of Littleton, Colo., and Denise (Michael) Dunbar of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren Jennifer Wells, Scott Wells, Brian Dunbar, Mary Dunbar, Chloe Kissane and Jack Kissane; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Mary (née Kerwin); one brother, Elmer C.; and one sister, Helen Dyer.
