- David Bailey Carpenter died Nov. 24 at his home. Professor Carpenter was born June 4, 1915 in Webster Groves, Mo. Professor Carpenter is survived by his wife of 42 years, Yoshiko H. Carpenter; their four children, Marie Yoshiko Morgan of New Haven, Conn., Teresa Teiko Carp of Eugene, Ore., Dr. Gary B. Carpenter of Maryland and Dr. James B. Carpenter of California; and six grandchildren.
