- Isaac Foster, one of the early members of Glencoe's black community and one of the first to own a business here, "Ike" died Dec. 7 at age 82. Isaac and his brothers Erie, Jimmy and Theodore Foster were brought from Birmingham, Ala. to Glencoe in November 1917 by their Cherokee Indian grandmother and an aunt. His parents died before that in Alabama. Erie is Isaac's youngest and only surviving brother. Foster's daughters are Diane and Gloria.
