- Leon "Bud" Peter Steffens, 95, died Dec. 14 in his Glenview residence.
Mr. Steffens was born May 21, 1910 in Wilmette.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Holley; two daughters, Jayne (Jerry Cross) of Racine, Wis. and Gail (Robert) Engeldahl of Slinger, Wis.; three step-children, George Holley, Barbara Eppert and Michael Holley; three grandchildren, Julie (Tom) Lulich, Becky (Brian) Schroeder and Ron Eppert; and three great-grandchildren, Cassie, Jessica and Austin.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frieda A.; and two sisters, Estelle Hebson and Marguerite Heinz.
A requiem Mass was celebrated Saturday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Glenview. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Northbrook.
