Notice of proposed property tax increase for New Trier Township High School District No. 203, Cook County, Illinois

I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax increase for New Trier Township High School District No. 203, Cook COunty, Illinois for 2005 will be held on December 12, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at New Trier Township High School, 7 Happ Road, Northfield, Illinois in Room C234.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2004 were $67,241,200.

The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2005 are $70,225,000. This represents a 4.44% increrase over the previous year.

III. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2004 were $3,733,863.

The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2005 are $3,331,233. This represents a 10.78% decrease over the previous year.

IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2004 were $70,975,063.

The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2005 are $73,556,233. This represents a 3.64% increase over the previous year.
