- Patrick Leary, curator of Wilmette Historical Museum, will give a presentatin at the museum on Sunday about Herman Mudgett (aka H. H. Holmes), a serial killer featured in the book, "Devil in the White City." Holmes built a house for his wife, Myrta Belknap Holmes in Wilmette and spent at least some time in the village.
