- A costume parade for pets was held on Saturday sponsored by several village center merchants. Bob Danon, owner of Charlie's Coffee House, said he decided to run the event for the first time this year, as a fall promotion for the downtown area. North Shore Stationery and North Shore Community bank co-sponsored the parade.
