Thursday, August 13 , will be Legion and Auxiliary day at Fort Sheridan from 12:30 to 6 o'clock. There will be cavalry and field artillery drill, rifle range firing by the infantry, and a parade of cavalry and field artillery at 5 o'clock. At 4:30 will be a tea dansant at the Officers' club in honor of the Auxiliary. This will also be an opportunity to see the athletic field donated by the auxiliary. Bring picnic luncheons but notify Mrs. Cochran, Wilmette 4547, if you are going, it is urged. Those not coming to picnic may buy luncheon on the grounds.
At a special meeting July 31, delegates to the state convention in Peoria were elected as follows: Mrs. F. J. Dowd, the incoming president, and Mrs. R. C. Johnson, delegates; and Mrs. T.L.D. Hall and Dr. Beatrice Hawkins, alternates.
On Wednesday, August 5, and all day sewing meeting and luncheon were held at the home of Mrs. A.G. Jefferson, 2901 Lake avenue.- Featured Link
