- Mrs. Esther C. Mitchell, 77, of Evanston, mother of a Wilmette resident, died Apr. 9 in St. Francis Hospital. She was born in Minneapolis. She was the wife of the late Ralph Mitchell. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lois Sprague of Wilmette; three sons, David, Scottsdale, Ariz., Lee C., Bay Shore, L.I. [sic], and Wallace, Honolulu; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Burial was in Lake Wood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
