- Plans to include more than 1,000 homes in Northeast Wilmette in a largely honorary historic district are on track for completion this fall. Property owners in the village's Linden Avenue neighborhood have rejected a more restrictive type of historic designation. Comments by historic commission chairman, James Blayley, and Bobbie McKay, organizer of the Neighborhood Action Group working to revitalize the 4th and Linden neighborhood.
