- Scott Segal of Glencoe is doing well in the competition Illinois Junior Golf Association Player of the Year honors in the Junior 14-16-year-old division this summer. Other area entrants are Stephen Prioletti of Northbrook, Tom Buley of Wilmette, Mills Rendell of Winnetka, Adam Wolf of Glenview and Denny O'Mallley of Wilmette. The field for the Senior Girls division included Teresa Muth of Winnetka, Mary Collins of Kenilworth and Kelsey O'Neal of Glenview. Junior girl players included Brittany Rendell of Winnetka.
Participants in the Illinois State Junior Amateur tourament that began Wednesday and continues through Friday: Edward Traines of Glencoe, Ryan Dorner and Rory Kenny of Glenview, Gregory Jules of Glencoe, Jack Pierce of Winnetka, Wilson Bowen of Winnetka, Kevin Snyder of Northfield, Peter Haller of Winnetka and Andrew Holden of Winnetka.
Amateur's in the Illinois Open Championship at the Glen Club in GLenview (Aug. 1-3) include: Jared Steger of Northfield and Kyle Nathan of Winnetka with Kim McCombs as an alternate. - Date of Publication
