- Rachel Fairbanks Sweitzer, 90, was awarded the French Legion of Honor on Saturday by Consul General Richard Barbeyron in a ceremony at Gillson Park which also marked her 90th birthday. Sweitzer served as a nurse in WWII. Comments by two of her sons Caesar and Rick Sweitzer.
