- Claire Alese Edwards of Wilmette and Sam Maxwell Armstrong of Herpenden, England, were married May 1 [2004] at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park with the Rev. Carol Munro Mosley officiating. The bride is the daughter of John and Carol Edwards of Wilmette. The bridegroom is the son of Melvyn and Madeleine Armstrong of Harpenden. The matron of honor was Jessica Edwards, sister of the bride and Ben Armstrong, brother of the groom, was the best man. The bridesmaids were Lena Dukic, Julie Flutterer, Liz Gregg and Hillary Morton. The ushers were Jim Lynch and Neil Ryan. Jessica Edwards and her husband John Smitherman, both professional singers, performed a duet during the ceremony. The couple reside in Oak Park.
