- Simon Roemer, 79, died Saturday in Highland Park Hospital. A retired farmer, he and Lawrence Roemer donated the land for the Roemer Little League Ball Park. Mr. Roemer, 2738 Glenview Road, was born in Gross Point, the son of Caspar and Anna Schwall Roemer. Mass was said Tuesday in St. Joeseph Church by Mr. Roemer's nephew, the Rev. Albert Roemer, paster of St. John's Catholic Church in La Crosse, Wis. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
