- Jessie Verna (nee Tarson) Stone of Winnetka lived to be 100 years of age and died Sept. 3 on the second anniversary of the death, at age 100, of her husband, W. Clement Stone. Mrs. Stone married her high school sweetheart, Clement, in June of 1923, a marriage that lasted 79 years. She is survived by her son Norman (Norah Sharpe) Stone; 12 grandchildren, Steven (Barbara) Stone, Michael (Jennifer) Stone, Sandra (Jay) Hotchkiss, Bryan Stone, Norman Clifford (London) Stone, Mark (Nicole) Stone, Amy (Chad Tingley) Stone, Deborah Stone, David Stone, Sara Stone, Christopher Kneifel and Linda Kneifel; and 16 great grandchildren. She predeceased by her husband; her son, Clement Stone; and her daughter, Donna Stone.
