- Mary Lou Bilder and Claudia Lubin specialize in making newcomers to Winnetka feel at home through the services of the Village Club. The club hosts an array of activities from dinner clubs to moms and tots events. Julie Yusim, executive director of the Wilmette Chamber of Commerce, said the Welcome Wagon still distributes information to new residents. Wilmette no longer offers personal visits to newcomers.
