- Morton Lennox Paterson, 81, formerly of Wilmette, died March 21 in San Diego, Calif., as a result of injuries sustained March 8 when he was hit by an automobile as he was crossing a street. Mr. Paterson was born in Bishopbriggs, Scotland, February 12, 1871, and resided in Wilmette from 1908 to 1925 at 925 Chestnut Avenue. He is survived by his widow, Mary Louise Jamieson of San Diego; two sons, Hugh of San Rafael, Calif., and James J. of Crawfordsville, Ind.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret B. White of Highland Park, Ill.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
