- George H. Williams died May 18 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. He was 85. Born Feb. 12, 1918, in Hempstead, N.Y. He married Celeste "Molly" Madden on Nov. 23, 1946, in New York City. In addition to his wife, survivors include sons Stephen of Covington, Ga., and Kevin (Leslie) of Wilmette; daughters Mary Beth (Tom) Barritt of Burlington, Vt., and Jeanne Williams of Watertown, Mass.; and five grandchildren.
