John F. Grubb succumbs to cerebral hemorrhage

John F. Grubb, a resident of Wilmette and Evanston for the last twenty years a member of the Wilmette Masonic lodge, died of a cerebral hemorrhage Thursday, October 31, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Mee, 1229 Chestnut avenue, Wilmette. He had been failing in health for several weeks.
Mr. Grubb, who would have been 80 years old on December 17, had lived in Chicago and the north shore suburbs for practically his entire lifetime. He was a veteran employee of the Chicago Title and Trust company and was retired on a pension by that company about twelve years ago.
Besides the daughter in Wilmette, Mr. Grubb is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Cora Sutherland and Mrs. Genevieve Wade, both of Evanston, and Mrs. Eva Arnold, who resides near Benton Harbor, Mich. The Rev. Vere V. Loper of the Wilmette Congregational church officiated at the funeral services where were held last Saturday afternoon at Mr. Grubb’s late residence, 1229 Chestnut avenue, Wilmette. Burial followed at Memorial Park cemetery.- Featured Link
