Mrs. Lydia Winterbottom dies at Evanston hospital

Mrs. Lydia J. Winterbottom, 63, a resident of Wilmette for the past ten years died Thursday afternoon September 12, at the Evanston hospital. Mrs. Winterbottom was born in Preston, England, and came to Evanston in 1911, later moving to Wilmette. She is survived by her husband Albert Winterbottom; one daughter, Mrs. Alfred Robertson of Wilmette; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Cartmell, and one brother, Thomas Gardner, both of Preston, England. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at Mrs. Winterbottom’s late residence, 1611 Elmwood avenue, Wilmette. The Rev. George P. Magill, former pastor of the Wilmette Presbyterian church officiated at the services. Burial took place at Memorial Park cemetery.
