- Frances M. Spies, 84, died May 12 at Resurrection Hospital in Niles. Mrs. Spies is survived by a son, Donald of Alabama; a daughter, Nancy Young of Wyoming; five grandchildren, two great-grandchldren and several nieces and nephews. She was the last living member of a 12-child family. Funeral services were held May 16 at Donnellan-Fitzgerald-Franklin in Skokie. Burial was at Memorial Park in Skokie.
