- Charges by Evanston resident Jean Berryman that nests of Canadian Geese were being disturbed by staff of the Wilmette Harbor Association, has led to an investigation by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. Spokeswoman for that agency, Carol Knowles, denies that the harbor's personnel have damaged nests.
