- Clarence J. Ruethling, 73, of 1330 Ashland Av. in Wilmette died Nov. 18 [1977] at Evanston Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude M.; three daughters, Mary Hook of San Francisco, Helen Vernier of Cape Girardeau, Mo. [Missouri], and Evelyn of San Francisco; two sons, Edward J. of Denver and James F. of Beloit; five grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Knetzer of McHenry, Ill.
