Clarence Puhlman passes away after short illness

Following a few days' illness of pneumonia, Clarence Moore Puhlman of 623 Washington avenue, Wilmette, passed away Monday, February 27. Funeral services were held the following Thursday at St. Augustine's Episcopal church, in which he had been an active worker for many years, and interment was in the family vault in Lake Forest. His widow, Mrs. Florence S. Puhlman, survives his passing.

Mr. Puhlman, who was well known along the entire north shore, was born in Plymouth, Wis. He was the son of Otto Puhlman and Anna Moore Puhlman and a descendant of Holland pioneers of New York. His life of enterprise and success reflected the spirit of those early forebears.

Mr. Puhlman was western manager of the firm of J. H. Lane and company of New York and Chicago, and a member of the South Shore Country club, Chicago Athletic club, and Shawnee Country club.
