J. H. Long, a resident here many years, dies

Joseph H. Long, a resident of Wilmette for more than 20 years, died at Sarasota, Fla., last Saturday, after a sudden illness of a week’s duration. Funeral services were held at the Rosehill chapel Thursday morning of this week under the auspices of the Masonic lodge, of which he was a member, and burial was at Rosehill cemetery.
Mr. Long was 68 years old at the time of his death and was in the south on business. He was connected with McGuire and Orr, real estate dealers, for 20 years and was township assessor for six years. His home is at 815 Gregory avenue.
The widow and one son, Clarence of San Antonio, Texas, and a sister, Mrs. M. C. Moore, survive. Mr. Long was well known in Wilmette and in Chicago real estate circles. He was a member of the Royal Arcannum lodge, in addition to the Masonic lodge.- Featured Link
