List of Matthews other awards.; Loyola Academy celebrated Catholic Schools Opposing Racism Commitment Day February 10; Student Respect Committee participated in the Putting Race Unity Into Practice conference Feb. 10 at the Bahai Temple in Wilmette. Committee President Steven Monroy was emcee, and Allie Leemputte of Winnetka was a participant; Feb. 6 the Claver International Club event, description of activities. Feb. 19 annual Claver International Leadership Seminar attended by Edith E. Monroy and Tomas Diaz-Lee; Twenty-four Latin and Greek students competed in contests at Illinois Junior Classical League Convention in LaGrange Feb. 19-21. Award winners included Mary Kate Fahrenbach and Kayla Prince of Wilmette and Colleen Desmond of Kenilworth. Coaches are Michael N. Schulte and David J. Mathers; Loyola Tespians attended Illinois High School Theatre Festival in January at Illinois State University. Liz McNamara of Wilmette was a chaparone; English instructor Mary Clare White nominated by former student Laura Merchut to be in the next edition of "Who's Who Among America's Teachers"; Ash Wednesday celebrated Feb. 25 at which Honors Dance class of Sandy L. Nowarita did liturgical dance which included Bridget Carney of Wilmette
