- Mary Jane "Janie" Ashenden, 78, a resident of Northfield and Rancho Mirage, Calif., died Feb. 16.
Mrs. Ashenden was born June 23, 1925 in Green Bay, Wis.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Jim Ashenden; six sons, Jim Ashenden of Chicago, Tom (Beverly) Ashenden of Atlanta, Ga., John (Maureen) Ashenden of Chicago, Bob Ashenden of Crystal Lake, Bill (Bev) Ashenden of Portland, Ore. and Dan (Mary) Ashenden of Wilmette; and seven grandchildren.
