- George Willson Smith died Sunday night at an Evanston convalescent home. He was 86 years old. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. R. C. Rottger of Evanston; a son, Edward W. Smith of Detroit, and three grandchildren, Mrs. Kenneth Wilkinson of Akron, Sgt. Robert T. Smith, and Ann W. Smith of Wilmette. The funeral service took place Tuesday afternoon at the Hebblethwaite chapel. Burial was in Rosehill Cemetery.
