Henry E. Brauer, a nephew of Rev. Herman W. Meyer, 406 Prairie avenue and a graduate of New Trier high school in 1916, was killed last Saturday in an automobile accident while on his way from LaSalle, Ill., to the Illinois-Ohio football game at Champaign.
After his graduation from New Trier, Mr. Brauer entered the University of Illinois, graduating in 1920, and receiving a fellowship at Yale. He made his master's degree in 1921. He was employed for two years as research chemist for the New Jersey Zinc company, in the year ago became head of the Research department for the Illinois in company at LaSalle.
He was married seven months ago to Miss Irene Snyder, of Palmerton, Pa.
With his extreme conscientiousness in his work, his ability and likable personality, Mr. Brauer appeared to have before him a great career. He lived for three years at the home Rev. Meyer in Wilmette.- Featured Link
