- Helen Fyke Montgomery, 103, died Feb. 6 of natural causes. She was born in 1900 in Centralia, Ill., where she grew up with her two sisters, Jean and Lavinia (Waite). In 1929, she married John R. Montgomery who died in 1971. She is survived by her sons; John Montgomery and Bill Montgomery; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 13 at the Winnetka Congregational Church, 725 Pine St., Winnetka.
