- Tracy Hastings Fields and U.S. Marine Capt. David Martin Steele were married September 6, 2003 at Church of the Holy Comforter in Kenilworth. The bride is the daughter of Mary Fields of Northbrook, formerly of Wilmette, and of the late Stephen Francis Fields. The bridegroom is the son of U.S. Marine Lt. Gen. Martin R. Steele, retired, and Cynthia Steele of Tampa, Florida. The maid of honor was Kristen Rhodes of Boston. The best man was Capt. John Garrigan of Oceanside, California. Bridesmaids were Kristen Bornhoeft Sands of Littleton, Colorado, Mary Ritchie Miller of Denver, Jill Stoddard of Boston, and Halle Putterman and Stephanie Garber, both of San Diego. Groomsmen were Capt. Brunson Howard of Kingsville, Texas, Capt. William Sauerland and Capt. Gregory Zackney of Corpus Christi, Texas, Daniel Tarbutton of Corona, California, and Kelley Watts of Lawton, Oklahoma. Also particpating were Capt. Timothy Pochop and Capt. Scott Cockerham. The bride was escorted by her brother, Carter Fields of San Francisco. Readers were Charlotte Newton of Westwood, Massachusetts, aunt of the bride, and Maj. John Barranco of Yuma, Arizona. Presenters were Deborah Steele and Edward Prescott Fields. Greeters were Heather Avery and Megan Filippini. The couple live in San Diego.
