Notes: Don E. Splinter, 88, of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., formerly of Park Ridge, died on Jan. 15 at Lake Forest Place in Lake Forest. Mr. Splinter was born and raised in Chicago's Edgebrook community. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary; his children, Scott Splinter of Grand Junction, Colo., Craig (Jackie) of Libertyville, and Beth (Dick) Gochnauer of Winnetka; and grandchildren, Laura, Dane, Wade and Casey Splinter and Grant and Meg Gochnauer. Funeral service was conducted on Jan. 19 in the First Presbyterian Church, Libertyville. Burial was in Sturgeon Bay.
