- Joseph J. Fitzgerald, 235 Ridge Rd., Wilmette died Aug. 9, age 74, at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Born in Maple Park, Ill. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Susan Rice of Santa Monica, Cal., Gail James of Wilmette and Anne O'Neill of Princeton, N.J., and seven grandchildren. A funeral mass was said Aug. 11 by the Rev. George Saraukas at St. Athanasius Catholic Church in Evanston. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
