- Alfred T. Abeles, died April 27 at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago. He was 91. Preceded in death by his wife, Margaret. Survivors include a son, John Abeles of Deerfield, and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at the First Congregational Church of Wilmette. Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie.
