- Howard Louis Bohnen, formerly of Wilmette, died March 3 in Longmont, Colo. He was 73. Mr. Bohnen was born in the Gross Point section of Wilmette. Survivors include his wife, Eloise Mary (nee Nelles) Bohnen; two sons, Jim (Lynn) Bohnen of Erie, Colo. and Jeff Bohnen of Boulder, Colo.; two daughters, Jan (Mike) Salerno of Aurora, Colo. and Judy Bohnen of Lafayette, Colo.; a brother, Joe Bohnen of Oregon; a sister, Louise Kirscht of Glenview; and five grandchildren, Justin Salerno, Dan and Scott Bohnen, and Neal and Jenna Bohnen. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
