- James E. Higgins, 82, died Dec. 27 [1991] at his home in Wheeling. He was born in Chicago Mr. Higgins was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Higgins. Survivors include three sons: James E., III (Judith) of Silver Springs, Md., Fitzgerald (Sandy Schneider) Higgins of Evanston and Daniel (Susan) Higgins of Naperville; three daughters: Kathleen Higgins of Philadelphia, Pa., Elizabeth (Andrew Geller) Higgins of Boston, Mass., and Ellen Higgins of Charleston, S.C.; three grandchildren: Jason and Erin Higgins, Michael Schneider and one sister, Marie C. Bertsch of Park Ridge. Funeral mass was said Dec. 30 at Addolorata Villa Chapel in WHeeling with interment at Calvary Cemetery in Evanston.
