- Jane Winburn Close, 79, died May 30 [1989] at the Brandel Health Care Center in Northbrook. Close was born in Springer, New Mexico. A Mass was said for Close at St. Norbert Church June 1. The interment was June 2 at the All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. She is survived by two sons, Henry Close of Rockford and John Close of Glencoe; five daughters, Mary Jane McCarthy of Northbrook, Nancy Lou Kelly of Wilmette, Betty Ann Dwyer of Park Falls, Wisconsin, Jean Bradec of Denver, Colorado, and Patricia McKinley of Hawaii; and 25 grandchildren.
