- Grace F. Mercer, 90, died January 5 at Normandy House in Wilmette. The wife of the late James Ross Mercer, Mrs. Mercer was born in Beatrice, Nebraska. Mrs. Mercer is survived by a daugher, Marjorie Follin of Wilmette; a sister, Mary Molineux of Weimar, California; and two grandchildren. A private service and burial was scheduled to take place in Plainfield, Illinois, at the Plainfield United Methodist Church.
