- The Rev. David F. Braun, who formerly served at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Wilmette, died Dec. 2, 1997 at Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Park Ridge. He was 70. He is survived by his step-mother, Bernadette Braun; a sister-in-law Grace Braun; and his aunts, Ruth Braun and Anne Dennstaedt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Braun. A funeral Mass for the Rev. Braun was celebrated Dec. 6 at St. Joseph Church in Wilmette. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
