- A funeral Mass was said August 4 for Howard L. Braun at St. Joseph Church in Wilmette. Burial was in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. A lifelong resident of Wilmette, Mr. Braun died August 1 at Evanston Hospital. He was 72. He was married to Genevieve Pilot Braun. He is survived by his wife; his daughter, Joann Hoetzer of Northbrook; his sons, Howard J. Braun of Buffalo Grove and Robert Braun of Glenview; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his sisters, Irene Hastings and Marion Rudolph, both of Wheeling, and Mildred Marschall of Colorado..
