- Irene Victor Clifton died Aug. 26 at her Wilmette home. A native of Chicago, she was the wife of the late Orrin W. Clifton, president of Victor Casket Co., a company founded by Mrs. Clifton's father, John H. Victor. She is survived by two daughters, Gaye Epperson of Tyler, Texas; and Joy Durband of Wilmette; nine grandchildren; 1 great-grandaughter; two brothers, George E. and William F. Victor, and a sister, Elaine Victor. Burial was at Oakridge Abbey, Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside.
