- John G. Butterworth, 79, 1002 Maple Avenue, Evanston, died February 10 in Evanston Hospital. Mr. Butterworth was married for 51 years to Martha McLean Butterworth. She died 1 1/2 years ago. He is survived by his second wife, Isabella Dickey Butterworth, whom he married November 17; a son, Dr. David, an Evanston dentist who lives in Wilmette; a daughter, Betty Lake of Novelty, Ohio; five grandchildren; a sister, Edna Smith of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, and two brothers, Norman of Chester, Pennsylvania, and Dr. Thomas of Reading, Pennsylania. Services were conducted February 12 in the Scott Evanston Chapel. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
