- Howard F. Prochnow of Wilmette died April 29 at St. Francis Hospital. He was 82. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Florentine Ochs Prochnow; his daughter Mary Ann Nielsen of Gilmer; his sons, Frederick of Kimberling City, Mo., Daniel of Bolder [sic] City, Nev. and Ronald of Wilmette; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
