- Jean Mary Carroll, a longtime resident of Wilmette, died April 29 at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston. She was born in Chicago. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. Carroll. She is survived by four sons: Rev. William of Shell Center Evanston, Thomas of Bartlett, Patrick of Des Plaines, and Michael of Mt. Prospect; three daughters: Nancy Hovey of Wilmette, Mary Saftig of Lake Zurich, and Nellie Zedalis of Randolph, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Jane Le Fevre, and four brothers, Edward, Raymond, Donald and Norbert Grochocinski. Interment was at All Saints, Des Plaines.
