- Elizabeth B. Brooks, 93, died Dec. 21 at the Normandy House, Wilmette. Survivors include a son, James Oliver Brooks Jr.; and grandchildren, James Stanley Brooks, Carol Elizabeth Juna and Paul Arthur Brooks. Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, James Oliver Brooks, Sr., and a son, David Melville Brooks.
