- Eugene Packard Eldridge, longtime resident of Winnetka and Kenilworth, died suddenly Aug. 22 in San Diego, Cal. He is survived by his wife, Donna Hayden Eldridge; two daughters, Jan Betts of Oconto Falls, Wis., and Denise Gossage of Albuquerque; his father, Frank Lewis Eldridge of Evanston; brothers Frank of Ithaca, N.Y.; and Charles of Winnetka; and four grandchildren. A memorial service was held Aug. 26 in San Diego. Interment was at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, San Diego.
