- H. Earl Hoover of Glencoe died Nov. 13 at Highland Park Hospital. He was 94. Born in Kansas City, Mo. in 1890. In 1914 he became associated with the Hoover Suction Sweeper Co. and developed many patents for the suction sweeper, as well as design details. He is survived by his wife Miriam; and four sons, Gordon, John, Robert and H. Earl II. A memorial service was conducted Saturday at St. James the Less Episcopal Church in Northfield.
