- James J. Hoffman, 60, died January 25 at his home in Wilmette. He is survived by his wife, Mitzi McLean Hoffman, and his mother, Lillian Hoffman of Wilmette. His children are Vicki Goldsmith of Buffalo Grove, Patti Rutzen of Three Lakes, Wisconsin, Jamie Reding of Northbrook, Jackie Barrett of Wilmette, and Cindy Hoffman of Northfield. Also surviving is a sister, Jackie Enright of Northbrook. There was a funeral Mass on January 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wilmette. Burial was at Memorial Park in Skokie.
