David Eugene Kloepfer, 69, longtime resident of Northbrook and Wilmette, died Nov. 12.
Mr. Kloepfer was a graduate of New Trier High School, and attended the University of Illinois and Northwestern University. He was a United States Army veteran. In 1999, he retired as garden shop sales manager at the Chalet Nursery in Wilmette, where he had worked for 43 years.
Survivors include his sister, Susan Weisman of St. Charles; and his aunt, Eva Macknick of Northbrook.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Grace Lutheran Church, 2445 Walters Ave., in Northbrook. Memorial donations in his name can be sent to Rainbow Hospice, 444 N. Northwest Highway, Suite 145, Park Ridge IL 60068.
