- Col. Frederick A. Lind Sr. (ret.) died Sept. 19 at Veterans Hospital, in Columbia, Mo. Col. Lind [sic] had lived at 1336 Washington Av. in Wilmette. Born in Greentop, Mo. His wife of 62 years, Anna died in 1972. He is survived by two sons, Frederick A. Jr. of Chicago and Albert E. of Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter, Helen M. Faris of Chicago, six grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
